If you’ve this is your new experience with Pinot from the Russian River Valley, this is place to start.  The Appellation Pinot is our modest attempt to showcase the incredible potential of the Valley.  We source from geographically diverse and representative vineyards across the Appellation.  Our goal is to create a wine that does justice to the amazing terroir here.  The 2021 spans four vineyards, 3 unique clones, and 6 separate fermentations creating complexity, structure, and a delicious wine. 

The 2021 has a medium ruby color and demonstrates aromatics of red cherry, cinnamon stick, woodsmoke, and black berry.  The wine gets a little bit of benefit on the palate of 40% whole cluster, which keeps this medium bodied with just the right amount of stemminess, creating a slightly more layered palate. The finish is more fruit-centric, compiling Bing cherry, fresh raspberry and toasty oak.
