The Persinger vineyard is a gem located in the heart of the Green Valley Appellation of Russian River Valley. The 1.5 acres of vines are ideally positioned on a hill sloped due East, keeping the fruit naturally temperature regulated throughout the entire growing season. The vineyard is farmed organically, and doesn’t produce much of a crop, making the fruit concentrated, rich, and honeyed. We could not be happier with the fruit quality from this special piece of land.
The nose is absolutely gorgeous, with notes of brioche bread, candied green apple, and honey. The palate is of middle weight, and soft tannins skate the length of the palate while building fruit notes of lemon meringue, juicy nectarine, and more green apple. The finish chucks some acidity into the mix, accompanied by beautifully integrated oak notes and more candied fruit.
