2022 Svengali Syrah

Svengali is sourced from the mountains in west Dry Creek, a slightly cooler part of the Valley with red, dusty soils. The nose is bursting with blue and black fruit, cocoa nibbles, and tobacco leaf. The palate is quite racy, and this Syrah’s usually brooding tannins are much more tamed than historical vintages. The wine skates across the palate, passing notes of blueberry, violet, and blackberry. Soils in this vineyard are rich in acid, which results in a playfulness of blue fruit and crisp freshness on the finish.
