This is only the 2nd wine from the Sonoma Coast in our Appellation Pinot Noir Series. The goal of crafting these wines is to provide a representative sense of place. A place, we feel, that has a distinct voice, a voice that lends itself to interesting grape growing. The Sonoma Coast is one of these places. Typically colder, damper, and windier than the Russian River Valley, the Sonoma Coast can be a super challenging place to grow grapes. And within it such a diverse microclimate, with a variety of different soil types, elevations, and aspects leading to the creation of wines with complexity, edge, and a touch of femininity.
The 2023 shows elegant and delicate aromas of Queen Anne cherry, blueberry and sweet vanilla oak lead into a vibrant palate of red raspberry and toasted oak. Silky tannins provide a soft, seamless texture, balancing the wine’s bright fruit.
