2023 Sun Chardonnay

A rare white wine in our Celestial Lineup, the Sun is a blend of Chardonnay vineyards throughout our most favorite region in the Russian River Valley, the Green Valley. Climate here is defined by the fog, blowing East through the Petaluma Gap and eventually settling in the Valley. This creates cool mornings, but burning off and giving way to sunshine in the afternoon. A diurnal dance that keeps acid pretty and flavors delicious.
Vintage 2023 opens with brioche, orange peel, and warm apple pie. The mid palate is medium bodied, with notes of candied apples, bourbon vanilla, and graham cracker. The finish shows off zippy acidity and ripe fruit, a combination which creates a soft, lingering and quite pleasant finish.
