The 2018 is fairly dark and brooding, certainly for a coastal Pinot Noir, with aromatics of allspice, forest floor, ripe cherry, gun flint, and a hint of stemmy herbs from the 15% whole cluster during fermentation. This wine floods the palate, coating the mouth completely, albeit elegantly, with candied fruit notes and oak inspired vanilla. The finish is quite lovely, with rounded acidity, elegant spice, and textured dark fruit.
