There’s a bittersweet feeling we have for this wine, as the 2019 is the last vintage we will be making of the San Remo. We have had a very special relationship with this vineyard, and the wines we make from it are always fantastic. So, if the San Remo is your favorite in our lineup, be sure and grab a few extra bottles before it’s all gone!
The 2019 is a little bit more elegant than previous vintages, but you wouldn’t know it from the nose. Notes of dark strawberry and honey laced cherry mingle with charred oak and baked bread. The palate is decidedly medium bodied, well balanced, and throws off more strawberry fruit. If you give this wine a little time to breathe, a softness breezes across the palate. We recommend decanting for 60 minutes prior to enjoying (if possible).
